About the Role

The bartender is the most well-rounded component of the dining team. They are in full control of their area, with support from management. Aside from preparing beverages for the entire dining floor, they are ensuring that each and every one of their bar guests’ has the same elevated experience as any other guest in the restaurant, dining or not. Bartenders at our restaurant are expected to follow the steps of service without feeling robotic or scripted. They must be able to guide guests through our craft cocktails, wine list, meat & seafood programs and full menu with confidence, taking and inputting orders to the guests’ specifications. To ensure success, you will value each and every one of our guests as if they were guests in your home. Top candidates will be sincere, hospitable and hard-working; having the will and desire to learn and adapt to Prime 141’s expectations.

Requirements

Qualifications

· Must be at least 21 years old

· Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations to the state of Nevada and Clark County

· 2+ years or more of work experience in food service industry as a Bartender a plus

· 2+ years or more of experience in elevated service a plus

· Completion of introductory written, verbal, and mock service exams

· Must be proficient in the English language; bilingual is a plus

· Fundamental knowledge of beef cuts and seafood

· Extensive knowledge of wine, beer and spirits

· Proficient time-management abilities

· Ability to build and maintain professional, long-lasting guest relationships

· Dexterous, agile and versatile

· Must have confidence in their appearance

· Outgoing, upbeat positive attitude and natural socializing skills

· Great and effective communication abilities

· Must have an extreme attention to detail

· Schedule flexibility is key

· Ability to walk and stand for up to 8 hours at a time

· Ability to lift and carry 35-50 pounds

· Must be able to multi-task effectively while maintaining composure

· Availability to work evenings and on weekends, including holidays

· Must show and maintain a neat, well-groomed and professional appearance, following company guidelines.

· Excellent organizational skills and cleanliness


Responsibilities

· Complete all opening, running and closing sidework duties.

· Attending pre-shift and general meetings to be up to date on day to day changes and topics of importance for the day.

· Prepare all beverages for dining team correctly according to recipes and in a timely manner.

· Bartender is responsible for the entire execution of the Guest Journey, from start to finish of when guests enter and exit the front door.

· Engage and build a relationship with each and every guest in a warm and friendly manner.

· Provide a menu tour to all guests, guiding them through our selections and accommodating any special needs, requests and allergies.

· Use training techniques to upsell signature items without forcing the sale.

· Prior to preparing any beverage, verify orders with guests and input correctly.

· Ensuring all food and beverage items are marked prior to delivering.

· Pre-bussing and manicuring guests’ dining areas at ALL times.

· Communicating with and using Server Assistants on follow up actions such as bussing, refilling beverages and food running.

· Ensure all food and beverage items are delivered in a timely manner and prepared to guests’ liking.

· Perform proper wine service (if applicable)

· Before, during and after service, make sure the whole bar top, back bar area and all bar seats are set up and clean to specifications.

· Bartender is responsible for all cash transactions of the restaurant throughout the shift.
