About the Role

The Server is the leader and key component in each and every one of our guests’ elevated dining experience. From start to finish, your main role is to extend a level of genuine hospitality that is unmatched and above and beyond expectations. Servers at our restaurant are expected to follow the steps of service without feeling robotic or scripted. They must be able to guide guests through our craft cocktails, wine list, meat & seafood programs and full menu with confidence, taking and inputting orders to the guests specifications. To ensure success, you will value each and every one of our guests as if they were guests in your home. Top candidates will be sincere, hospitable and hard-working; having the will and desire to learn and adapt to Prime 141’s expectations.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Must be at least 21 years old

· 2+ years or more of work experience in food service industry as a Server a plus

· 2+ years or more of experience in elevated service a plus

· Completion of introductory written, verbal, and mock service exams

· Must be proficient in the English language; bilingual is a plus

· Fundamental knowledge of beef cuts and seafood

· Well-versed and confident in wine, beer and spirit knowledge

· Proficient time-management abilities

· Ability to build and maintain professional, long lasting guest relationships

· Dexterous, agile and versatile

· Upbeat Positive attitude and natural social skills

· Great and effective communication abilities

· Must have a keen eye for detail

· Schedule flexibility is a plus

· Ability to walk and stand for up to 8 hours at a time

· Ability to lift and carry 35-50 pounds

· Must be able to multi-task effectively while maintaining composure

· Availability to work evenings and on weekends, including holidays

· Must show and maintain a neat, well-groomed and professional appearance, following company guidelines.

· Excellent organizational skills and cleanliness


Responsibilities:

· Complete all opening, running and closing sidework duties.

· Attending pre-shift and general meetings to be up to date on day to day changes and topics of importance for the day.

· Server is responsible for the entire execution of the Guest Journey, from start to finish of when guests enter and exit the front door.

· Greet tables by name using info sheet given by Host/Hostess and introduce yourself.

· Engage and build a relationship with each and every guest in a warm and friendly manner.

· Provide menu tour to all guests, guiding them through our selections and accommodating any special needs, requests and allergies.

· Use training techniques to upsell signature items without forcing the sale.

· Input all orders correctly, after verifying with guests, according to table and seat number.

· Ensuring all food and beverage items are marked prior to delivering.

· Pre-bussing and manicuring the tables at ALL times.

· Communicating with and using Server Assistants on follow up actions such as bussing, refilling beverages and food running.

· Ensure all food and beverage items are delivered in a timely manner and prepared to guests’ liking.

· Perform proper wine service (if applicable)

· Attain and note guest information to give to Host/Hostess for future reference.

· Ensure our restaurant is clean and up to our standards before, throughout and after the shift.

· Before, during and after service, make sure all tables are properly set up to specifications.
